This coffee is produced in Fresno Tolima, at El Vergel Estate. Managed by the Bayter brothers, and their mom Marta. After 15 years of producing avocados and conventional coffee, El Vergel has become known as one of the largest producers in their region, providing an opportunity for economic growth, and enabling the Gesha Marcela project.
This Gesha variety was planted on June of 2016 in the microlot "Marcela". Marcela has a low density per hectare which promotes healthier growing conditions for each plant. Currently, there are 9,500 plants with a production of 9,000lbs of coffee annually.
