Finca Santa Josefita is in a v-shaped, east facing portion of the northern Apaneca-Ilamapetec mountain range. The microclimate’s slightly lower elevation protects against strong winds. A fresh water spring winds through the organic farming community where pulp based fertilizers/mulch is common.
A true advocate of relationship coffee Josefita farmer, Fernando Lima, not only takes great care in growing quality sustainable cherry and micro-mill processing in a clean, organized, precise facility he also acts as teacher and guide to coop members and patrons alike. Every year we are fortunate to feature lots available through local roaster Bridgeport Coffee’s direct trade with Lima’s CUZCACHAPA Cooperative based in Chalchupa, El Salvador
